1. Before work begins
If a client cancels before substantive work has started, JM Forge Web Studio may refund amounts paid, less any non-recoverable third-party costs or work already performed. Any project-specific cancellation terms in the written proposal will apply.
2. Deposits and work already started
A deposit reserves production time and may cover discovery, planning, design preparation and other early work. Once substantive work has begun, a deposit may become partly or fully non-refundable to the extent it represents work already completed, time reserved or non-recoverable costs, subject to applicable law and the written project agreement.
3. Milestone and final payments
Payments for completed and accepted milestones are generally not refundable merely because the client later changes direction. If a genuine service issue exists, JM Forge Web Studio will first try in good faith to correct the issue within the agreed scope.
4. Client cancellation during a project
A client may request cancellation in writing by emailing JM Forge Web Studio. The account will be reviewed based on completed work, committed third-party costs and amounts already paid. Where money is due back, the refund amount will be confirmed in writing.
5. Cancellation by JM Forge Web Studio
JM Forge Web Studio may stop or cancel a project for serious non-payment, unlawful requests, abuse, persistent lack of cooperation or circumstances that make completion unreasonable. If JM Forge Web Studio cancels without client breach, any prepaid amount relating clearly to work not performed will be considered for refund.
6. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method where supported by the payment provider. JM Forge Web Studio will initiate an approved refund as soon as reasonably practical, normally within 7 business days of approval. The customer's bank or payment provider may require additional processing time before the amount appears.
7. Duplicate or incorrect payments
If you believe you were charged twice or paid an incorrect amount, contact JM Forge Web Studio promptly with the payment reference so the transaction can be reviewed.
8. Chargebacks and disputes
Clients are encouraged to contact JM Forge Web Studio first so that billing or delivery concerns can be investigated. This does not remove any rights available through a bank, card issuer or applicable law.
